Assumptions
• The goal from a UX perspective is to make the tool easy to understand, intuitive and remove friction by making the tool less overwhelming
• There are two distinctive aspects within the Rodeo product
• Project planning/tracking
• Project finances
• The dashboard should be a place for users to catch up on how they are doing with their projects, what they need to do next and it helps them plan their day

Redesign
Changes introduced in redesign
• Changed colour palette to branding colours, inspired by home page. A decision to shift from blue to orange based on colour theory, as orange represents enthusiasm, creativity and determination amongst other things - fitting better with goal of the tool
• Fit all the content within the fold/viewport to reduce cognitive load on user by removing unnecessary scrolling for user
• Simplified and made the menu bar more functional by grouping items per topic and making the dashboard the de-facto home screen
• Removed previous week working hours as it is irrelevant information to users, based on the assumption and goal of the dashboard page
• Rearranged content with hierarchy and grouping in mind to ease cognitive load, make contents easier to digest and make it easier for users to understand what is happening at a glance
• Made “My Tasks” a functional todo list on the dashboard. This reduces friction for the user to clear tasks and move along the project without having to dig deeper in the Management menu per project
• Clicking on different projects in the "My Projects" card will change the content in the "Tasks" card, showing tasks associated with specific projects
• Added feature allowing users to customise their dashboard, empowering them
• Moved logo to the top of the dashboard, following common industry patterns
• Introduced user delight through usage of icons
• Brought consistency to iconography
• Changed typography
